Brian Molefe addressing state capture report's Glencore and Tegeta claims

The long awaited report on allegations of state capture by former Public protector Thuli Madonsela released damning findings on Eskom and its relation to the Gupta family.

The report states that Eskom might have repeatedly broken the law to accommodate the Gupta family-owned Tegeta Resources.

In the report, there's a diagram that shows extensive cell phone contact between the Gupta's and Eskom's chief executive, Brian Molefe.

Madonsela made a recommendation that President Jacob Zuma institute a judicial commission of inquiry within the next 30 days headed by a judge solely selected by the Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng.

CapeTalk/702's Stephen Grootes spoke to EWN reporter Gia Noccolaidesis at the interim briefing by Eskom where Brian Molefe was one of the speakers.

Brian Molefe is addressing the issue of Glencore and Optimum Coal and he is going through the details of what happened between May and August last year.
