Chris Hani's killer Clive Derby-Lewis dies

The man convicted of killing of former South African Communist Party (SACP) leader Chris Hani, Clive Derby-Lewis has died.

Hani was murdered in 1993 and Derby-Lewis was sentenced to life in prison for supplying the firearm that was used to kill the SACP leader.

Derby-Lewis was 80 years old and had suffered from terminal lung cancer.

He was granted medical parole on 29 May 2015 after several failed attempts.
