ANCYL President says his relationship with the Guptas is nobody's business
The ANC Youth League says it's shocked that its president Collen Maine and ANC Secretary General Gwede Mantashe featured in the state capture report, considering that they are not part of any state institutions.
The league says that it is clear that the report was a DA-sanctioned mission, to cast aspersions on ANC members, reports EWN'S Victor Magwedze.
The ANCYL says that former public protector Thuli Madonsela included Maine even after they had questioned his involvement and role in the investigation.
Maine says it's his responsibility to interact and meet with everyone in society including the controversial Gupta family.
He claims that he has a right to go anywhere and that it is not anyone's business whether or not he has visited the Gupta's Saxonwold home.
Maine says others may see a problem with the Guptas, but he doesn't.Victor Magwedze, EWN Reporter
ANCYL also condemned ANC members such as chief whip Jackson Mthembu who speak publicly, outside of internal structures.
They say they'll be writing a complaint to the ANC about Mthembu.
