
Soy sauce is a condiment made from a fermented paste of boiled soybeans, roasted grain and brine.
It was invented in China in the second century AD and quickly spread throughout the Far East and Southeast Asia.
Here’s how to make your own soy dipping sauce:
Ingredients

3 Tbsp (45ml) sweet Indonesian soy sauce

2 Tbsp (30ml) soy sauce

3 Tbsp (45ml) sweet chilli sauce
- Juice of 2 limes
Method

Mix sauce ingredients together.
- Add a splash of sesame oil if you have it.
(Makes about 1/2 cup.)
