WATCH: Baby iguana barely escapes rattling showdown with nest of snakes

The latest video footage to give the internet the goosebumps is spreading fast.

But not as fast as the gang of snakes seen in a heart-pounding chase from the video.

The serpents were caught on camera in a gripping face off with a baby iguana.

In the footage, from the BBC's Planet Earth II documentary series, the iguana is chased and seemingly cornered by the racer snakes, then runs and falls onto desert sand and rocky terrain.

The baby iguana makes a near miraculous escape, and viewers can breathe a sigh of relief.
