October Lead SA hero Nhlanhla Mchunu receives full bursary from Exclusive Books

Lead SA Youth hero for October Nhlanhla Mchunu will receive a bursary from Exclusive Books to continue with her psychology studies.

Nhlanhla and a team of seven other young people in Alexandra Township are running a reading club, Lisakhanya Ikusasa (The Future Is Still Bright), to teach the young visitors to read and write.

Last week she spoke to Xolani Gwala when she was receiving her Lead SA hero award, and talked about her life and how she dropped out of school due to lack of funding.

Exclusive Books CEO, Benjamin Trisk, says Nhlanhla is a special daughter and deserves the bursary.

Dreams are coming true.

I said to her whatever happens whether you get a bursary or we have to pay, you are going back to university next year.
