Flow restrictors to monitor water wastage offenders - Tshwane mayor

The City of Tshwane has bought 3000 water flow restrictors to be installed on water meters to measure how much water people are using.

Tshwane spokesperson, Samkelo Mgobhozi, says water flow restrictors will give an indication on where water water wastage is occurring.

Tshwane Mayor Solly Msimang said some areas such as Laudium, Centurion, Garsfontein, have disregarded water restrictions.

There will be an assessment to the nature of the usage before any fines are issued out.
