Mother of man forced into coffin collapses in court

Members of Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Democratic Alliance (DA) and African National Congress (ANC) were outside the Middelburg Magistrates Court to showing solidarity to Victor Rethabile Mlotshwa who was forced into a coffin by two white men.

A video that has been circulating on social media shows Mlotshwa being forced into a coffin by two white men, who threaten to set him alight.

Willem Oosthuizen and Theo Martins Jackson have been charged with kidnapping and assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.

Jackson and Oosthuizen appeared briefly before Middelburg Magistrates Court where they abandoned their bail application.

EWN reporter who was in court, Pelane Phakgadi, says Mlotshwa's mother got very emotional when she saw the accused and heard what had been done to her son.

His mother was put in an ambulance and got transported to the nearby hospital. She collapsed. Inside the court she was crying and couldn't hold herself when they were speaking about the issue.
