President Zuma meets with unhappy ANC stalwarts

African National Congress (ANC) veterans say the consultative conference is the solution to renew the ANC and regain confidence among its members.

President Jacob Zuma, Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa and Secretary General Gwede Mantashe are among the the members of the Provincial Working Committee who will listen to the 30 veterans representing 106 stalwarts as they present document titled 'For the sake of the country' in Tshwane today.

The veterans have previously called on the President to resign and condemned fraud charges against Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan.

The President has really fought back. Over the past two weeks he has addressed members of ANC, and he said the veterans are out of line and he said some of them do not even belong to any ANC branch and are only coming out and speaking out.
