Hartbeespoort Dam boat fire may have started in kitchen

Four people have died after a boat caught fire in Hartbeespoort Dam, North West.

South African Maritime Safety Authority senior surveyor, Crispin Kemp, says the fire may have started in the kitchen and spread to other parts of the boat.

Three people drowned and another was burned to death.

There is a joint investigation between the police and South African Maritime Safety Authority to find what led to the incident.
