The Department of Water Sanitation says the Vaal Dam levels have risen 5% to 31%, from 26% last week.

Dam levels in all provinces except the Cape Province have seen increases in dam levels.

The Vaal Dam is now being supplied by Sterkfontein Dam reserves after levels became critically low.

Sputnik Ratau, Department of Water and Sanitation spokesperson
