#LeaderTweets Jay Naidoo hosts robust conversation on corruption, free education

As I become older, and hopefully wiser, I realise there is something that we need to do that we didn't do then, which is to change the human being.

Jay Naidoo, Cosatu founding General Secretary

This morning LeadSA handed over its Twitter account to the South African activist and founding General Secretary of Cosatu Jay Naidoo.

Naidoo said he wanted to engage people on state capture, as it implicates institutions and organisations critical in delivering the infrastructure needed for a successful country.

In the recent developments of student protests for free education, Naidoo criticised government, saying it has failed to engage students. He used the #LeaderTweets opportunity to write about free education.

Naidoo is still just as optimistic about South Africa's future as he was 20 years ago when he was still in government.

We need to bring back the spirit, human values and ethics - that we care about each other, environment and those that are outside the system who are unemployed and hungry. If we can bring that, I think we have a recipe for success.

Jay Naidoo, Cosatu founding General Secretary

Listen to the audio below for more insights from Naidoo, and follow @LeadSA #LeaderTweets next week for another take over!
