No action taken against dog killers after four months

A group of children aged between 7 and 18-years recorded themselves stoning and then killing a dog in July.

The video was met with outrage yet nothing has since been done to the offenders.

Belinda Abraham from Cape of Good Hope's SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty Against Animals) said to date there have been no subpoena's or court date given for this case.

We were told by the NPA that with all that's happening in Manenburg, we cannot expect this case to receive priority.

She vented her frustration that cases of animal cruelty goes unchecked and raised an alarm for the deeper psychological problems of these offenders.

Animal abuse if often the first sign of a serious disturbance that eventually produces adolescent and adult killers.
