Panayiotou murder trial to resume next year

The murder trial against Christopher Panayiotou and his two co-accused was postponed by the Eastern Cape High Court on Thursday until next year.

Christopher Panayiotou, Sinethemba Nenembe and Zolani Sibeko are on trial on charges of conspiring, kidnapping, robbing, and killing of Jayde Panayiotou.

She was kidnapped from outside her townhouse complex in Port Elizabeth on April 21 last year. Police found her shot dead in a veld outside KwaNobuhle in Uitenhage.

EWN reporter, Shamiela Fisher says it was quite clear from the evidence provided that the Panayiotou's had an unhappy marriage.

A friend to Christopher's mistress testified that on his wedding day he called her and jokingly said please come and take me away I don't want to do this.
