A braai with braai bread – what else is there?

Take your braai to the next level with one these fantastic braai breads.

It’s easy to pull off – minimal fuss with maximum impact!

Onion marmalade and feta bread

  • Slice a baguette about ¾ way through.

  • Butter between each slice.

  • Liberally spread onion marmalade inside each slit.

  • Halve feta discs, then slice again to create four half moon shapes.

  • Pop in between each slice.

  • Wrap in foil and braai over medium coals or bake in a 180 C oven for 15 minutes.

Olive oil, anchovy and herb stuffed bread

  • Slice a baguette or ciabatta about ¾ way through.

  • Mix ½ cup (125 ml) olive oil with 10 chopped anchovies and a handful of finely chopped parsley.

  • Season well with milled pepper.

  • Liberally spread mixture between each slice.

  • Wrap in foil and braai over medium coals or bake in a 180 C oven for 15 minutes.

Caprese stuffed bread

  • Slice a baguette or ciabatta about ¾ way through.

  • Liberally brush each slice with seasoned olive oil.

  • Arrange a slice each of buffalo-style mozzarella and ripe tomato plus a fresh basil leave between each slice.

  • Wrap in foil and braai over medium coals or bake in a 180 C oven for 15 minutes
