When asked in January; this economist expected the rand at R19/$ by now

In January (shortly after the firing by President Jacob Zuma of Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene on 9 December 2015; aka “Nene-gate”) Nomura emerging markets economist Peter Attard Montalto forecast the rand hitting R19/$ by the end of 2016.

Today at 5:51pm the rand was trading at R13.61/$.
