Sal Masekela counted amongst South African's doing great things abroad

CapeTalk's Kieno Kammies chatted with Selema Mabena "Sal" Masekela, an American television host, sports commentator, actor, singer and son to South Africa's jazz music legend, Hugh Masekela.

Sal was born in America while his father was in exile during Apartheid in South Africa. He stayed behind with his mother even after his dad came back home to South Africa.

Masekela worked for ESPN to cover the 2010 FIFA World cup in South Africa, and also helped launch the Red Bull Signature Series for NBC sports.
