Muthambi defends Motsoeneng, 'corrects' statements made by witnesses

Communications Minister Faith Muthambi has told the Parliament ad hoc committee looking into SABC board fitness to hold office that she was not aware that the board withheld documents from Parliament.

Muthambi also told the board that she urged it to pay attention to the Public Protector's report.

Responding to the controversial multi-million rand deal with MultiChoice, she said it was negotiated by the previous board.

Muthambi also said she is disheartened by personal attacks from so called SABC8 journalists who testified about political interference and censorship.
