Families across Cape Town have unused toys at home that are still in good condition, but which the children have outgrown.
We should challenge other kids to donate one thing every Christmas after you do a clear-out.— Mathew
10 year old Matthew has decided he would like to help children less fortunate than himself by collecting old clothes, toys, books and school shoes and takkies that have been outgrown but are still perfectly usable.
He is collecting for Little Brinks which is a charity that looks after abandoned and abused children which he knows helped me when one of my pupils was in an abusive situation earlier this year.
He has spoken to Little Brinks and knows that there are always children needing these things. He has approached his school but hit a snag there so now wants to appeal to the wider community.
Mathew has a Facebook page for the collection, called Matthew's Magic: Collecting Goodies For Little Brinks
