Car rental companies are super busy at this time of the year.
Consumer journalist Wendy Knowler warns that motorists need to double-check the terms and conditions of car rental contracts, particularly under the “exclusions” written in small-print.
She explains that car rental companies don't have insurance and use various waiver systems which help protect you from liability.
But there are exclusions listed which could result in additional costs incurred because you aren't covered.
