ANC still discussing principles of leadership succession - Zweli Mkhize

African National Congress (ANC) Treasurer General Dr Zweli Mkhize says the ruling party wants to approach January 8 in one spirit whereby all ANC members are free to express their views.

The ANC will use its January 8th statement to set the tone regarding the priorities that the party will be pursuing during the year.

Mkhize says people should not put names of people up to succeed President Jacob Zuma before the party is done with the process of principles for leadership succession.

He could not say whether he would accept the nomination for Presidency.

Everyone in the ANC is allowed to nominate and be nominated but when that process comes, only then it is fair and appropriate to comment.
