Technobyte: CES 2017 50th anniversary show in Las Vegas

Everything around is getting connected and smarter. This was one of the big trends at the show this year. From smart fridges, to beds, to hairbrushes and appliances – everything is being connected to the Internet

Televisions have always been a big feature at CES and this year was no exception.

Samsung, LG and Sony launched ultra thin televisions. 4K TV’s seem to be settling as the industry standard and the picture quality from what we saw on the floor this year was spectacular.

The panels featured breath-taking colours, clarity and contrast. Samsung launches their QLED (Quantum dot technology) TV’s and LG added to their OLED displays.

The other trending technologies included drones, health care, cars, virtual reality, robots, personal assistants and artificial intelligence and algorithms that drive these technologies.
