Chinese representation in World Economic Forum is symbolic - expert

Chinese Premier Xi Jinping will become the first Chinese head of state to address the World Economic Forum taking place in Davos this year.

Head of multi-asset and strategy for South Africa at Ashburton Investments, Mark Appleton, says it is symbolic that the Chinese will get first time representation in this international gathering.

Xi is expected to show how China would take a “responsive and responsible leadership role” in global affairs.
