All deserving students will be funded by NFSAS - Higher Education Minister

Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande says government has provided enough funding for qualifying students entering the university for the first time.

Nzimande says government will provide funding to all deserving students.

He also said students funded by the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) will not have to pay registration or upfront fees, and will not get any fee increment.

The department has also set up Central Application Clearing House to help students who have not yet been placed at universities.
