South Africans get a kick out of Pornhub, Dr. Eve uncovers

Mzantsi enjoys its fair share of internet porn, data has revealed.

South Africans have, for the first time ever, made it onto the top 20 countries with highest number of viewers for online pornography giant Pornhub.

Pornhub 2016 stats showed the network had 23 billion viewers to its site which is about hat 64 million visitors per day.

Clinical sexologist Dr. Eve shared the following findings:

  • 70% were men between the ages of 18 and 24 years who visited the site at least once a month
  • Globally, the most popular categories were: lesbians, teens, ebony, MILF, anal
  • In SA the most popular searches were: black South African, black, South African, South African girls, lesbian, young black teen
  • Globally, 33% of viewers on PornHub are women: and they search for: lesbians and threesomes.
  • Globally, the most searched for terms, in order: lesbians, stepmom, MILF, teen, stepsister, Mom

The popular search categories suggest that people are tired with heteronormative sexuality and that women want to liberal themselves and express their desire.

Dr. Eve says that challenges with relationships and intimacy has pushed more people towards pornography to maintain an erotic life.

She advises that porn education needs to be taught to children from the young age.

Dr. Eve gave some advise on sexual pleasure, addiction, popular pornography trends and responded to caller insights.
