Cancer survivor's determination secures her impressive Matric pass

Miche Getse was diagnosed with bone cancer and had a tumour removed from her right leg and a metal prosthesis inserted into her femur.

Getse's illness did not deter her from dreaming big and obtaining excellent results in her schooling.

When she was in Grade 9 she spent up to 9 months in hospital but always kept her school books close.

At the end of the year she passed and progressed to do her Matric in 2016.

My faith and passion to live kept me going. There is so much to look forward to in life.
