UK Prime Minister's Brexit plan speech imminent

Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Theresa May is expected to make an important speech on Tuesday.

The speech will contain details around Britain's exit from the EU. The pound fell to its worst level since October as investors await the speech.

EWN UK correspondent, Gavin Grey, says May is sticking to her end of March deadline for article 50 and the 'divorce proceedings'.

We are expecting 12 negotiating objectives and we are expecting her to indicate that there is no half in or half out - we are leaving the European Union in its completeness.

Gavin Grey, EWN UK correspondent

The two biggest things from the speech will be the single markets that allows free movement of goods and services as well as the free movement of Europeans within member states.
