President-elect Adama Barrow and many other Gambian citizens have left the country fearing for their safety ahead of the Barrow inauguration.
Political unrest continues in the country with President Yahya Jammeh refusing to step down despite West African leaders intervention.
Barrow was in Senegal when his son was bitten by a dog and died on his way to hospital.
He left at the weekend, and will be escorted to his country on Thursday.
