Ryan Bacher is co-founder and CEO of Netflorist, South Africa’s biggest online flower company.

Under Ryan Bacher Netflorist has grown into a firm with five warehouses and 200 franchises, all over the country.

Ryan Bacher sits on the board of the South African chapter of the global non-profit Entrepreneurs Organisation.

Gourmet hampers, branded jewellery, Ecuadorian cigars… Netflorist also encompasses popular gifting website NetGifts.

We started purely as an experiment. We knew nothing about flowers!

People were used to phoning a florist, so we didn’t have much to overcome. We did R30 000 in our first month, which is about the same revenue of a physical florist.
