Thieves steal jewels worth R4bn from London deposit box. Can it happen here?

Highly organised thieves stole diamonds and other valuable jewels worth almost R4-billion from a depository in London.

They, reportedly, abseiled down a lift shaft and used specialised equipment to cut through the thick doors of an underground vault.

The thieves had no trouble disarming what was thought to be a sophisticated alarm system.

This is not the first robbery to have happened at that depository in London. What we have in place would’ve stopped what happened in the UK.
