The Money Show’s Bruce Whitfield interviews the Accountability Now director about his book, “Confronting the Corrupt”.

What’s going on with the Hawks just doesn’t pass Constitutional muster.

Advocate Paul Hoffman

The major difference between the Old South Africa and the New South Africa is that our Constitution is supreme. This gives me hope.

Advocate Paul Hoffman

In order to attract foreign and indeed local investment you must have respect for the rule of law and property rights.

Advocate Paul Hoffman

Advocate Paul Hoffman was born in 1950 in Johannesburg.

He studied law at Wits and was called to the Cape Bar in 1980.

In 1995 President Nelson Mandela conferred silk (senior counsel) status on him and he served as an acting judge on the Cape Bench at the request of three successive judge-presidents.

In 2006 founded the Centre for Constitutional Rights.

He started pursuing his passion for Constitutionalism in 2009 as one of six directors of Accountability Now.

Description of “Confronting the Corrupt” on Tafelberg:

The infamous Seriti Commission into the arms deal… The Glenister case following the disbanding of the Scorpions… Busting open the bread manufacturers’ cartel...

High drama; high stakes brought to South Africa courtesy of the Accountability Now NGO, and its founder Paul Hoffman.

Join him in his journey from jaded silk to corruption buster – a fly-on-the-wall account of courtroom battles, influential personalities, secrets and lies in the battle to speak truth to power.

The Money Show’s Bruce Whitfield interviewed Hoffman for his weekly business book review.
