Dunoon Primary School needs computers

Christine Williams, founder and director of NGO My Dunoon speaks to CapeTalk's Kieno Kammies about the urgent need for computers in the community's schools.

Yesterday Dunoon was hit by fires and a number of families were evacuated.

The small township of Dunoon, situated near Milnerton, faces numerous social challenges. My Dunoon has initiated arts, clean-up and gardening, recycling and health awareness projects as well as youth camps to help uplift the community.

We're an NGO that believes unity solves problems, so we get around problems in Dunoon by gathering people around them through community development.

Dunoon Primary School's computer lab has no computers.

The school principal came to me and said he was concerned they did not have enough computers for their computer labs so we got involved there.
