Principals whose schools recorded 0% pass rate must be held to account - Zuma

President Jacob Zuma says there must be serious consequences for teachers in schools where learners performed poorly.

Zuma was speaking at the Basic Education Lekgotla in Centurion following last year's matric results.

EWN reporter, Thando Kubheka says the President emphasised that there should also be consequences for principals and school's management for schools that recorded a 0% pass rate.

He says we must not allow any room in the public sector for incompetence.
