Maimane blasts ANC war room "trend"

The Democratic Alliance says it is considering legal action against the ANC following allegations that the party had engaged in covert campaign tactics during the local government elections in 2016.

Sihle Bolani, public relations guru, approached the courts to force the ANC to pay her for her role in using social media to spread disinformation about opposition parties.

DA leader Mmusi Maimane, says if a political party seeks to undermine the electoral law it will be undermining the will of the people.

We believe this campaign has been going on for a number of years where she reflects quite deeply on narrative settings, the idea that somebody tries to paddle a lie or an idea.

Mmusi Maimane, leader of the DA

The ANC has often come out in public spreading news saying this party is racist and so on.... these are the things that in essence undermines the will of the people

Mmusi Maimane, leader of the DA

Maimane says these campaigns where political parties spread propaganda about other parties needs to stop. He says south Africans should be careful when casting their votes and make sure they choose a political party that will serve them.

This is a very dangerous trend and the sooner we stop it, the better.
