Mantashe denies knowledge of 'war room' or PR payments

ANC Secretary General Gwede Mantashe says he has met with ANC general manager Ignatius Jacobs following documents which emerged showing a settlement agreement between PR expert Sihle Bolani and the party.

Bolani went to court asking a judge to force the ANC to pay her for her role in what she said was a project to use social media to spread disinformation.

Mantashe says he knew nothing of the so-called 'war room' or the money promised to a PR company, reports EWN's Clement Manyathela.

Mantashe insists that the ANC is not involved in the controversy, adding that people involved in its election campaign did so voluntarily.
