A world record car that has done nearly 5 million kilometres

Irv Gordon is a retired teacher from the USA and he holds the world record for driving more than three million miles (4.8 million kilometres) in his 1966 Volvo P 1800 S.

He has been driving the car since he bought it brand new in 1966.

He’s been brought to South Africa by Castrol motor oil company.

Other people have hobbies like knitting or watch TV he says and he loves to drive.

And he has driven all over America...and beyond.

I have been to all 48 of the lower states in USA and I have also been Alaska. I have been to Europe a couple of times with the car.
