Film director and writer, Akin Omotoso, says diversity and multiple narratives are important in film storytelling.

Omotoso says there there has to be a room for diversity to allow people to understand different stories about society.

Film director, John Trengove, says there is need for diversity representation to move beyond race, and include other identities such as sexuality and gender.

Trengove also says South Africans should have a conversation on how to develop their industry collaborating with the world.
