Jhb City task force to look into drug abuse and brothels in Rosettenville

Rosettenville community members have destroyed property belonging to alleged drug dealers and brothel owners in the area.

City of Joburg MMC for Public Safety, Michael Sun, says demonstrations started yesterday, and when he arrived in the area with Mayor Herman Mashaba he spoke to a woman who was working in one of the houses as a prostitute.

We have now set up special task force. From there we will get a multi-departmental approach.

There were allegations that girls as young as nine years old are used as prostitutes.
