UMkhonto we Sizwe Military Veterans Association (MKMVA) says it has had a positive meeting with MK national council, led by people like General Siphiwe Nyanda.
Nyanda and other veterans part of the MK national council have for the African National Congress (ANC) national executive committee to be disbanded in June during the party's consultative conference.
While, MKMVA leader Kebby Maphotsoe has publicly supported President Jacob Zuma and criticised ANC senior members calling for his resignation.
EWN reporter, Clement Manyathela, says MKVA has announced that they have decided to hold a national conference to work towards uniting themselves.
We saw some people who claimed to be former MK members who came up and publicly attacked Siphiwe Nyanda. They asked him about how he didn't protect Nokuthula Simelane, that he was chief commander when Nokuthula Simelane disappeared.— Clement Manyathela, EWN reporter
It was very bizarre because the security at Luthuli House is very strict, when you come in they want to to know if you are part of the media or not, and if you are not allowed to go (in).— Clement Manyathela, EWN reporter
