Gilad Isaacs from the National Minimum Wage Research Initiative and School of Economic and Business Sciences at Wits University joins Stephen Grootes on the line to talk about Nedlac's newly agreed upon hourly minimum wage of R20 per hour to be implemented in 2018.

That level works out for 45 hours to R3 900 and is under what we calculate as the most basic needs of workers. it is insufficient in meeting those needs.
