Guns remain the most commonly used weapon in South Africa - Crime stats survey

The latest annual crime stats survey has been released and reveals 2% decrease in the theft of personal property.

Stephen Grootes speaks to EWN reporter, Ziyanda Ngcobo.

She says two reasons given for people not reporting crime are perceptions that firstly, the police do nothing about crime when reported, and secondly, that the courts are both inefficient and too lenient on criminals.

Guns remain the most commonly used weapon in South Africa.
