Trevor Noah wins big at the NAACP Image Awards

Trevor Noah’s autobiography ‘Born a Crime’ was acknowledged by The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).

The awards focused on all areas of the Entertainment Industry; Film, Television, Literacy and Music.

Trevor, one of South Africa's most adored comedians, scooped up several awards.

These included Outstanding Literary Work -- Debut Author and Outstanding Literary Work -- Biography/ Autobiography, for his touching memoir, which focused on his early childhood in Apartheid South Africa.

Trevor was honored by the win and thanked his supporters in a tweet.

After Trevor Noah took over the Daily Show from Jon Stewart in 2015, he quickly captured the hearts and minds of audiences worldwide, and with this recognition, his brilliance only continues to shine.
