The African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) has called for the axing of Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan.
It says Gordhan has been protecting white monopoly capital and needs to be replaced.
702 Afternoon Drive presenter Redi Tlhabi asked listeners whether Gorhdan deserved to keep his top Treasury job, and why.
Below are some of the responses:
Gordhan should definitely stay. If we don't have him, where the heck or we gona go?— Jenny. caller
@RediTlhabi ancyl and ancwl are frontiers of Gupta gate and tenderpreneurship. Lot of mess in many government agencies is being ignored!!!!!— Richard mashamaite (@MashaRichard) February 17, 2017
Pravin should go, only if there are clear reasons why and if whoever replaces him isn't controlled by neither black, blue, white nor brown monopoly capital— SMS comment
White monopoly capital is an excuse for the ineptitude of our current government. And no, Pravin shouldn't go. He's the last buffer between us, and those who would like to loot the state.— Ajora, caller
@RediTlhabi .Pravin refused 2 assist the Guptas & all of a sudden, he is soft on WMC, gets blamed 4 bank's conduct? Something stinks here!— Mzu (@mndabeni) February 17, 2017
