Is entrepreneurship given the support it needs in SA?

Managing director of Simodisa, Matsi Modise says Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan gave a good speech which gave a sense of confidence to SMME's.

He allocated 3.9 billion that's going to be spent towards SMMEs and co-operatives. However, Modise says this allocation is a bit vague in that it doesn't specify how much is going to be put towards high impact, high growth businesses.

Modise says she would have loved to hear more about small businesses getting a bit of tax relief from the Minister and how government will be working together with small businesses.

Nothing was mentioned on red tape and efficiency of government because we believe that it is important that government is very efficient in supporting SMMEs.

Matsi Modise, Managing Director of Simodisa

Pravin Gordhan's message was around impact, collaboration and inclusivity, so we need to walk the talk.
