Cricket SA guns for international superstars to play in new #T20 Global League

We can compete with any of the other leagues, except India.

Haroon Lorgat, Cricket SA

Cricket South Africa is gunning for superstar players - and major international investment - for its recently announced #T20 Global League.

The #T20 Global League hopes to replicate the success of the Indian Premier League and Australia’s Big Bash League.

There will be eight city-based franchises.

The tournament will take place late in 2017 when South Africa’s best players and many international stars are likely to be available.

South Africa is one of the most beautiful countries in the world - we have great weather, beautiful tourist attractions and cuisine and we have proven to be warm hosts. We are also lucky to be in a great time zone that would attract huge viewership as we suit most of the cricket world.

The league will run for between six and eight weeks.
