Cool Dads Foundation inspires young fathers to be better than their own fathers

702's Phemelo Motene spoke to the Founder of Cool Dads Foundation, Bongani Luvalo who says the foundation advocates and support’s a culture of positive fatherhood.

He says it is a movement of young fathers who want to do things different from what their fathers used to do.

Some of us grew up without fathers and we thought of a way to make sure that children don't grow up without fathers.

Bongani Luvalo, Founder of Cool Dads Foundation

Luvalo says they have a number of activities they do with these young fathers. Over 80 boys have been recruited and being groomed to be better men.

We do picnics, camps, date nights, movies where we foster relationships between fathers and their kids. We also do workshops and seminars to address a number issues.

Bongani Luvalo, Founder of Cool Dads Foundation

A galla dinner will be held on March 17 to raise funds for the foundation and tickets are sold at R500 pp.
