The Progressive Professionals Forum has responded to claims by the Democratic Alliance that a R840,000 sponsorship from both Eskom and Transnet is proof that the group have waged a ‘dirty war’ against National Treasury.
The forum held a briefing earlier today.
According to Eyewitness News (EWN) reporter Ziyanda Ngcobo, the organisation insists that the payments formed part of a bid to raise money for some of its programs.
Referring to statements made by deputy president Kashif Wicomb, Ngcobo says the PPF believes the DA statement is another desperate racially based attack on an organisation fighting against white monopoly capital.
