SA's competitiveness hit by car shipping syndicates

Competition Commissioner, Thembinkosi Bonakele talks to Breakfast Show host Kieno Kammies about the extensive cartels operating in the automotive shipping liner industry. South Africa, he says, has a thriving car manufacturers based here and vehicles are shipped for export.

At least three Japanese shipping liners, one Norwegian and one Chilean, have been negotiating among themselves and fixing prices.
