Oxfam South Africa has called for the regulation of illegal mining, following the deaths of 14 people believed to be involved in informal mining in Benoni.
Oxfam SA programmes manager for extractives in mining, Thembinkosi Dlamini, says they are also against the use of language that refers to people as 'Illegal miners'.
