Trevor Noah scoops Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards

South African comedian Trevor Noah scooped the 2017 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards in Los Angeles, California.

Noah won the trophy for Favourite African Star voted for by children across the continent.

EWN US correspondent, Nadia Neophytou, says Noah has finally found his confidence, especially in his anti-Trump campaign dubbed as "Trump-Takedown".

The US based comedian beat fellow South Africans Pearl Thusi and Wayde Van Niekerk‚ Nigerians Yemi Alade and Funke Akindele Bello and Kenyan Lupita Nyong’o who were nominated for the award.

Noah also appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, chosen as one of 10 Next Generation Leaders.

This award came at a very good time just after he graced the cover of Times Magazine.....
